On September 19, 2014, I finished a Rogers Cable TV interview for “Faith Works” in Owen Sound, Ontario and began driving across North America to raise awareness about Ebola in Liberia and ways churches can help. My first stop was Brighton, Michigan. Why was I doing this? The first reason was because I had no peace or rest. Naomi told Ruth that Boaz would have no rest until he settled the matter about marrying Ruth. That’s how I felt. Secondly, Liberia needs help. The body of Christ needs to wake up, get itself mobilized, and help Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea. What we are witnessing is the unfolding of a humanitarian crisis like Hurricane Katrina and the terrible earthquake in Haiti. Ebola is a terrible scourge for West Africa, and especially for Liberia. We need to show the love of Jesus Christ to Liberians with the resources we have been given stewardship over from our Lord.
